Gee, turns out I hadn't posted this one yet ...

I need a bit of of portrait practice, so, it's TV time, as usual. The first batch is not quite there, but I think I got some likeness in the second. Rizzoli & Isles (season 2), BTW.

This festivity in Granada sort of marks the beginning of autumn. I've got it linked to salty bread and roasted chestnuts since I was a small kid, too. Stillman & Birn Gamma notebook and still trying to get the hang of my Faber Castle Pitt markers for the linework.

Or as close as it gets for a pro-roamer. Specifically, my mom's street at Granada, where I (mostly) grew up (9-17). Of course, I've been living for years in Malaga now, but I still think of this place as home.

Like the show thus far (done with season 1); plots are not that great, but goofiness (and Rizzoli's cartoon-y faces) makes it totally worth it. Blue Bloods, however, is pretty boring to me ..

Hahaha!! You didn't really think I'd give up doing portraits just because I have no patience whatsoever?  At least these guys won't drop by to complaint about their likeness (I hope): Melissandre and Stannis, from HBO A Game of Thrones, by G.R.R. Martin (disclaimers end here :D)

A day as good as any to start posting the walkthrough of the Bioware game I played this summer. Jade Empire is quite old when compared to the Dragon Age or Mass Effect franchises, but it has most of the stuff I really like in those games. I've tried to learn how to use markers in this one, so there be dragons, but I actually learnt a few tricks (after ruining some spreads). My character was Jen Zi, but I actually prefer to draw Sui Feng (Bleach) because the hair and the uniform do wonders to expose the dynamics of martial arts). Anyway, on with the show.

Two watercolored spreads from my Gamma Stillman&Birn notebook. The first, from the car queue to enter Gibraltar and the second from the (practically only) main street in the Rock, where all chocolate and perfume shops are. And they were having a party to celebrate they are not spaniards, too! 

The cathedral in Cadiz is supposed to look like the one in La Habana, but, except for the stone quality, I don't really see the likeness. Probably because it's been a decade since I went to Cuba. I need to return there and see it again :)
