Y mas asssucaaaar!!

Image
These are a few better known spots ...

Asssucaaaar!

Image
I went to work to La Habana some years ago and the experience was ... complicated. Yet, I enjoyed the trip, met amazing people and had a wonderful time as a whole. I had some spare moments to draw, too :)

Brienne of Tarth

Image
I fear I did not draw her as ugly as she is supposed to be, but hey, I like the poor thing!

A chunk of land in ... Singapore

Image
This is Pulau Ubin, a tiny island off the Singapore coast that can be accessed via ferry. Nice, cozy place, with a load of lazy lizards and good coconut milk. Beaches are just okay, though :)

Renly Baratheon

Image
On with the Song (my casting call before the series were even planned, duh)

Just for a change, the Warrior Princess!

Image
We keep on with swordfighting and such, but at least it is not from "A song of Fire and Ice" :D

Theon Greyjoy

Image
On with a Song of Fire and Ice (male) heir to the house of Greyjoy and a guy I disliked from the very first book. My casting call way before the TV show

Asha Greyjoy and my dabblings with colors

Image
I don't know exactly why, but colors and I do not get along :( This is a second try to draw Asha Greyjoy, from A song of Fire and Ice, in digital colors. In my first one, I used just plain tones and got no volumes. I've tried to improve that in this one, but still, I'm not totally in with the effect ..Luckily, I still got the hang on quick sketching :)

Insisting on NY

Image
These are a couple of sketches that I did in watercolors after my visit to NYC. I'm not particularly fond of these, but I thought I might share them anyway, now that we are in NYC post day. Plus this one I copied from the Vertical New York photo book, a cool one if I may tell :)

The city that never sleeps

Image
Some sketches from my first NYC travel book: Gughenheim, all included in the City Pass. I fancy myself better Natural Science Museum, but, hey, it is a must And, of course, Brooklyn Bridge ... on July 4th. Superb fireworks, but long, long waiting and bad mannered neighbours that kept pushing all the time :( The Metropolitan and the Natural Sciences Museums! Cool places to spend a day or two ... or more :)

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Image
Here is the first page of a Harry Potter comic I did back when films had not been released, so I pretty much designed every character. This corresponds to my fav book, the third, specifically to Harry's first visit to Honeydukes using the Marauders map. posted earlier a couple of colored pages, though I made a lot more later that did not make it further than pencil (a good idea, since I'm not that good at computer coloring :P). Might post them here, though :) Here are the pencil versions of those pages plus a new one.

Yoruichi Neko-chan

Image
A shot at the cat-version of Yoruichi, which, indeed, looks exactly like my mom's black cat, named after her :)

More Resident Evil

Image
Trying colors on this Alice ...

Asha Greyjoy

Image
On with a Song of Ice and Fire and I've got a new favorite character: Asha Greyjoy. Sure, she's only been there for a chapter at the point I've reached so far, but I strongly dislike her brother, so having her mocking him so much just made my day :D Ironborn, he knew at a glance; lean and long-legged, with black hair cut short, wind-chafed skin, strong sure hands, a dirk at her belt  "And here's my sweet suckling babe"

(Weird) adventures in Iceland

Image
Believe it or not, this actually happened!

Green, green Iceland

Image
Three spots for the adventurer and also for freaky fandom :) This is the place where the High Council used to meet and where continents divide The black waterfall, one of the most impressive ones in Iceland. It looks like the place where witches lived in the (unremarkable) Stardust movie! :)    And this is Snaefell mountail, where the SnaefellJokull is. Most of you might remember it as the entrance to the centre of earth in Verne's famous book.  Well, actually THIS is the entrance to the Center of Earth, but it was too cold there to draw, plus the visibility and the weird snowbiking fluffy attire ...

Angkor Wat (Cambodia)

Image
And just in case you miss travel sketches ...

Welcome to ... the Wall

Image
This is a quick sketch of the Wall (of ice) from Song of Fire and Ice, where the Night Watch stands for the return of the Others. I made no lines nor anything, just used a dry brush from Photoshop to do this one.

A Song of Fire an Ice All Lannister Festival today!

Image
I started with a quick sketch of my fav one, the Imp and moved to his beloved siblings, Cersei and Jaime.  At this point, I started to think about who these characters reminded me to, so I did a little casting call and got to this And, naturally (not really if you have not read a Game of Thrones, but I'm not writing spoilers yet), I wondered what Joff would look like Does someone look familiar to you in the last two sketches? :)

Crichton and Aeryn Sun

Image
These are a couple of quite old watercolors of two of the main characters of Farscape, a scifi series that was not as popular as I would have expected. It had a bit of everything, including Henson's characters, but people did not seem to dig in. Nevertheless, it had enough support for 4 seasons and a closure film (the Peacekeeper Wars) Do I wish that it had been the case with Firefly!

Adventures in the Outback

Image
These are on-the go strips of my trip with a group of friends to Australia. Believe it or not, these things actually happened to us. Today, out in the Outback (and Alice Springs) :)
